A most unusual and digusting
exploitation gimmick used by Hallmark Releasing Corp, the American distributors
for MARK OF THE DEVIL (Hexen bis aufs Blut gequält), the 1970 UK/German
gore-soaked Witchfinder General-style horror uber-classic from director Michael
Armstrong and Adrian Hoven, and starring Herbert Lom, Udo Keir and Reggie
Nalder. The film’s graphic poster is printed on the bag in blood red, with
“This VOMIT BAG and the PRICE of one ADMISSION will enable YOU to SEE...” above
it. Boy, they don’t do advertising campaigns like this anymore!
CONDITION: In good shape
considering its age (over 30 years!), a few age spots is all, and we guarantee
no stomach contents have ever seen the inside!
